Condolences and memories are rolling in on social media for Stephen “tWitch” Boss.
tWitch, famous for being the DJ on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” died by suicide. His wife, Allison Holker Boss, confirmed the news. “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us,” Boss said in a statement obtained by NBC News.
Former first lady Michelle Obama, actors Viola Davis, Jada Pinkett Smith and Yvette Nicole Brown are among the growing number of celebrities who are sharing memories of him and expressing condolences.
“I was heartbroken to learn about the passing of Stephen “tWitch” Boss, who I got to know over the years through my Let’s Move! initiative and visits to The Ellen Show,” Obama wrote in a post. “My heart goes out to his wife, Allison, and his three children during this difficult time.”
Davis posted on Instagram, “I’m at a loss for words right now, praying for his family and loved ones.”
Former Miami Heat player Dwyane Wade also shared a tribute video of himself dancing with the late Boss.
“Anyone who’s had an encounter with tWitch is hurting hearing this news today,” Wade wrote. “Grateful to have had this moment with you in your light.”
Channing Tatum also shared a tribute, along with a shirtless photo of himself and Boss.
“I have no words. There aren’t any. My head or heart can not understand this,” Tatum captioned the picture. “There is just so much… i don’t know where to begin. I love you. I’ll see you again my friend. Until then.”
