If you go out in public for any length of time, you are going to see somebody who is bringing their pet along with them. For many of these individuals, it is more than just having a pet with them, they consider them to be emotional support animals.
That is where a man named Paul comes in. He regularly posts videos on TikTok to share his experiences, and as a blind individual, he has a unique perspective.
On this particular day, he had gone to a restaurant in Seattle along with his dog, Mr. Maple. Somebody walked up to him and told him that there is a no pets policy at the restaurant and only service dogs were allowed.
Paul went on to explain that Mr. Maple was a service dog and they asked him if he was an emotional support dog. That is when Paul said that he showed his guide dog harness to him and told him he was blind.
The man said that he didn’t think he was blind because he did look blind.
Paul tried to explain to him that there were many of the blind community that still had a relative degree of functional vision. When asked why he was looking at him if he was blind, even Paul said that he had a pinhole of vision.
The man continued to argue, showing how skeptical he was over the disability. Even when Paul offered to come back and prove that Mr. Maple was a service dog, the man simply threatened to call the police if he came back to the restaurant again.

At the end of the video, Paul simply said that he was speechless and more than 9 million people have watched it. He didn’t want to reveal the restaurant because he didn’t want them to get in trouble, but he has said that he had a meeting with the manager to discuss it since the video.
They even offered him a gift card and told him that he could come back any time.
