Jennifer Aniston is known as one of the beauties of Hollywood because of her gorgeous looks and beautiful hair. When Jen realized her hair might be losing its shine, she decided she did not want that to happen at all!

Born February 11, 1969, Jennifer Aniston was no stranger to acting and stardom. Both her parents were actors, which naturally led to her choosing the profession as a career too.

She went to a school in New York and studied music, art, and performing arts. But her degree or her parent’s success did not mean instant success for her. She could not even book commercials.

She took up a waitressing job and had to borrow money from her friends to pay for her headshots which she eventually ended up using to audition for Friends.

But luckily, Friends became the big break for her that her career needed. Her iconic portrayal of Rachel Green lasted for ten seasons. The looks she wore as Rachel and her hairstyles and more; everything has been copied the world over.

In the year 2000, Jennifer married fellow actor Brad Pitt. The couple was adored by the media and fans. They were always asked whether they wanted children. But they never gave much of a response to the question and in 2005, the couple divorced after which Brad Pitt entered his highly publicized relationship with Angelina Jolie.

In 2015, the actress married again and this time married actor Justin Theroux. The marriage was short-lived as the couple divorced in 2017 but when they were married they were always asked questions about their decision on whether to have children or not.

Aniston expressed her disdain over this trend and said, “No one considers that it might be a sensitive subject for my partner and me. They don’t know what I go through emotionally or medically. There is pressure on women to be mothers, and if they are not, then they are damaged. Maybe my purpose on this planet is not to procreate. Maybe I’m meant to do other things.” She hoped to put the matter at rest once and for all.

But it was relentless. People still pried into her personal life and wanted to know about her childless status. She reached her breaking point and wrote an open letter to address everyone who equated women to marriage and motherhood.

She wrote an impassioned piece about how disturbing she thought it was that people were only interested in her pregnancy and marriage. She wrote, “We are complete with or without a mate, with or without a child. We get to decide for ourselves what is beautiful when it comes to our bodies. That decision is ours and ours alone.”

“We don’t need to be married or mothers to be complete. We get to determine our own “happily ever after” for ourselves,” she opined. She added that she may someday choose to be a mother but not because she feels incomplete without being one.

In 2021, she gave an interview where she said she no longer takes rumors about herself started by tabloids to sell copies seriously. She said, “I used to take everything personally, all the pregnancy rumors and the belief of ’ Oh, she chose her career over having kids.’ No one has any idea why I don’t have kids, what’s going on with me on a personal level, on a medical level.”

Aniston who has always been an advocate for women being themselves and not needing to change themselves to fit any societal standards has often been accused of going under the knife herself but she strictly maintains that she has never had any cosmetic procedure done.

The only procedure she has ever admitted to is getting her deviated septum corrected through surgery. She had the procedure done even before her appearance on the sitcom ‘Friends’ which propelled her to mega-stardom.

Mayim Bialik posted a throwback picture of herself with a young Aniston and her nose looks visibly different. However, Aniston has always maintained she opted for surgery for medical reasons rather than cosmetic ones.

Aniston maintains that she has always been happy with her appearance as it is. She has often said, “I am pretty happy with what God gave me.”

Aniston has been vocal about her disdain for cosmetic procedures and surgeries. She has often spoken against those who get cosmetic procedures done, saying these procedures make people look even older

This comment led people to speculate whether Aniston was taking a jab at her friend Courtney Cox. This is because Cox had admitted to going ‘overboard’ with Botox at one point in time.

But one thing that she does admit to indulging in; is her hair. When Aniston was nearing her 40th birthday, she was excited until she found a strand of gray hair in her famous locks. She admits it freaked her out.

She said about it, “I found a long gray hair, and it kind of flipped me out. It brought me to tears, slightly.”

Aniston is famous for her hair and she takes pride in maintaining its luster. She was even believed to be living with her hairstylist but denied those rumors saying she is pretty handy herself with a round brush and hairdryer.

She categorically said about gray hair, “I’m not gonna lie — I don’t want gray hair.”

A famous Hollywood stylist has divulged that Aniston is a regular at the hair salon. Michael Cahale, a famous colorist in Hollywood, once said she goes to the salon “every five weeks to rejoin her previous highlights with her medium brown base color.”

Her opinion over gray hair and covering it up surely divided the internet. Some people fully agreed with Aniston, telling her that they agreed with her. One user wrote she plans on regular visits to her stylists as well once her hair starts graying.

While some disagreed saying that she needs to “get real.”

Some Twitter users thought her decision was ill-fated, one wrote, “So she’ll grow old and die with colored hair. Ok fine.”

While another fully supported her, saying, “Good for her. Gray hair sucks!!”

Whatever her fans might think, of course, the final decision lies with Aniston herself.
