In an unexpected series of events, one man has gotten beyond lucky with a $500 (£390) storage unit.
With the hope of getting something reasonably good after investing in the unit, he opened it to find a reward he could only have dreamed of.
The lucky man opened his unit to find $7.5 million (£6 million) in cold, hard cash, stacked up and now in his possession.
And all of it happened on the US hit show Storage Wars.
Dan Dotson is an auctioneer on the show, and he took to social media to tell the story of the man who bought a locked storage unit that contained a locked safe, which turned out to be a modern-day treasure chest.
It’s not normal for people to have finds like this on the show, as guests usually find old cars and peculiar items from people’s pasts in their units.
Storage Wars involves locked-up storage units that have not been paid for three consecutive months, and the premise is that they are allowed to be auctioned off by the owner, with storage hunters on the prowl for hidden gems, such as this one.
Dotson explains the incredible find in a video posted on his joint YouTube account with his wife, fellow auctioneer Laura Dotson.

He explained: “An older Asian woman at the table next to me kept looking at me like she wanted to tell me something. Eventually she walked up and told me her husband works with a guy who bought a unit from me for $500 and found a safe inside.”
Dotson says that the man found a safe in his unit, but the story behind the safe itself is what makes the story worth listening to.
The 61-year-old continued: “The first person they called to open it, I guess couldn’t or didn’t.
“They called a second person and when that person opened it up… inside the safe they’re normally empty, but this time it wasn’t empty. It had $7.5million (£5.8m) cash inside.”
What was found were what looked to be packages stacked up, covered in paper with no reason as to why they were abandoned.
“$7.5 million inside of a unit, I don’t think you’d forget it, but maybe you were just in a position where somebody else was in charge of it, I don’t know,” Dotson continues in the full video.

Laura also offered a few suggestions, saying: “Credit card went bad, it was finished, they moved away, perhaps the person went to jail… who knows what it was.”
But regardless of why the money was there, I think we can all agree that it’s a jaw-dropping find.
Talk about the sale of the century – some pretty amazing things have been found on the US show, but nothing quite like this.
Maybe one day you’ll be this lucky! Until then, you can always live in hope.
