Takeoff – a member of Migos – has been shot dead at 28.
According to a report by TMZ, the rapper – whose real name was Kirshnik Khari Ball – was killed at a bowling alley in Houston around 2:30AM local time.
He and fellow Migos rapper Quavo were playing dice in 810 Billiards [and] Bowling Houston when an altercation broke out and someone began shooting.
Takeoff was reportedly fatally shot either in the head or near to the head and pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people were hit and taken to hospital. Quavo was unharmed.
In footage of the moment obtained by TMZ, Quavo and others can be seen gathered around Takeoff’s body and shouting for help.
The young rapper was best known for his work with the rap group Migos, which he formed along with his uncle Quavo and cousin Offset.
