Ozzy was in a near-fatal bike crash in 2009. He underwent multiple surgeries for a spinal injury he got from the accident. The injury worsened when he fell at his home in 2019. In 2020, the singer was diagnosed with Parkison’s Disease.

Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy’s wife, spoke about the singer’s health in April 2023. Sharon said she had to step away from her duties on TV to take care of her husband when he contracted Covid-19 in 2022:
“It has been very difficult. Ozzy has been plagued medically by different things that have been wrong. It is like one thing leads to another then another. For some reason he is tested all the time. I think, No more, please God.”
Ozzy hasn’t caught his much-desired break, has his health seems to have deteriorated. On July 10, 2023, he announced that he had made a painful decision to opt out of the Power Trip Festival because his body was telling him he wasn’t ready yet to perform.

The Power Trip Festival is a rock music extravaganza hosted by Coachella founders Goldenvoice. It is scheduled for October 6 to October 8, 2023, and is set to feature iconic rock bands such as Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, and others.
Another fan noted that the singer “looks like a corpse.” People said that apart from his illness, Ozzy seemed to be aging fast.
Before opting out of the Power Trip Festival, Ozzy had announced that he was canceling his tour commitments in February 2023 to focus on getting better. In July, he said he had been hopeful he would return to the stage in the summer of 2024, but his health could no longer allow him to do so.

On August 13, 2023, Ozzy was spotted with his wife Sharon, their kids, Kelly Osbourne, 38, and Jack Osbourne, 37, and grandkids. The family, who were seen in the Westwood area of Los Angeles, were going to watch a movie.
