Yesterday we went to my sister’s funeral. She was in pain and died suddenly. She was very joyful very much loved her life. She had two children. But she was sick with cancer and died soon after.
People were already gone. My son-in-law came up to me, pulled me by the hand and took me aside. I was surprised because I had never seen him like that. He said he had something important to tell me. So we got in the car and drove off to a deserted place. There he asked me to marry him.
I went into shock. I told him your wife had just died. Do you even think about what you’re saying? He said he couldn’t take care of his kids by himself. I’m single, I have no family and no kids.
I told him no and got out of the car. I was so shocked, I still can’t get over it.
